Travis received a 1999 Southern California Motion Picture Council Bronze Star Halo Award for his outstanding contribution to the entertainment industry as a TV and Film Producer, Director, Writer, Music Composer and Singer.

Selected as a 2003 High School Award Winning Resource, "Travis Edward Pike's Grumpuss: The Original Otherworld Audio Theater Production" won a Youth Storytelling Pegasus Award from Voices Across America.

Travis received a 1999 Southern California Motion Picture Council Jeannie Emerald Star Angel Award for his contribution to the entertainment industry and the performing arts as a film producer, director, writer, music composer and singer.

"Volunteers for Verdi" won a 2006 US International Film and Video Festival Certificate of Creative Excellence in the Category: Documentary: 60:01 - 90:00 minutes.

Based in Glendale, California, the Alameda Writers Group is a non-profit organization serving writers in all stages of development and in all genres, offering resources, access to industry professionals, networking opportunities and signature events such as peer group critiques and guest lectures. In 2006 the AWG honored Travis with this plaque, citing his five year membership during which he served three terms as its Vice -president and founded its Whole Script SIG, based on the New Playwrights Foundation model.

Based in Santa Monica, California, the New Playwrights Foundation is a nonprofit corporation originally formed in 1969 to aid, nurture, and develop local writers.  It offers its members opportunities to critique other members’ works in development and have their own works critiqued by their peers. During the period when he co-produced, co-wrote and edited the award-winning New Playwrights Foundation production "Volunteers for Verdi, Travis served as its Chairman, for which service he was honored with this plaque in 2007.
